What is FCCLA?

FCCLA: The Ultimate Leadership Experience is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work, and societal issues.

FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America) is a nonprofit organization funded by primarily by member dues. It is unique among youth organizations because its programs are planned and run by members. It is the only career and technical in-school student organization with the family as its central focus. Participation in national programs and chapter activities helps members become strong leaders in their families, careers, and communities.

Why should FCCLA be in schools?

The benefits of having FCCLA are truly rewarding. The purpose of FCCLA is to strengthen the values of family. Students also learn skills for life. They have the chance to speak out about what is important to them from the public speaking skills they gain, make new friends, and build their personal growth and self esteem. Students get to participate in activities that challenge them and give them a chance to improve. Through the competitive events and national programs that focus on careers, members can prepare themselves for their future career and learn how to plan and carry out projects and goals properly.

FCCLA is building the leaders of tomorrow. The more students take part in FCCLA the more everyone befits. Each member determines which benefits they would like to take advantage of. FCCLA: The Ultimate Leadership Experience
