Emergency Days/Early Dismissal/School Closing

When school or a school activity is delayed or canceled due to inclement weather, road conditions or other emergencies, parents will be notified.  We will communicate to all UPK-12th grade parents via our automatic announcement system.  Announcements will also be made on the following radio stations:  WGY (810 AM), WDLA (1270 AM and 92.1 FM), WBNG (TV Channel 12) and WKXZ (94 AM).  Announcements pertaining to evening activities will be made as early as possible.  When we are on a two-hour delay, add two-hours to bus arrival pick-up time.  In the event of an emergency, during the school day, we will communicate to all UPK-12 parents via our automatic announcement system.

Lockdown/Lockout Procedures

During the 2022-2023 school year, we will continue to practice lockdown/lockout, shelter in place and evacuation procedures for the safety of your child.  In the event of an emergency, parents will be notified in a timely matter.  Copies of the District School Safety Plan may be obtained in the District Office.

School Messenger

Again this year MCS will be using a school notification system called School Messenger. MCS will notify parents, students and community members of school closing, delays and important updates by phone and by emails. To guarantee the messaging system is used efficiently, MCS will need to confirm that all of your contact information is up-to-date and accurate at all times.

As emergency contact information changes, please contact:
Mrs. Khristen Balcom at 845-586-2647 (Ext. 114).
If you would like to receive emails, please update your email information.
