On May 9, Margaretville Central School will welcome award-winning singer/songwriter Jared Campbell to campus, where he will perform assemblies for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Originally from upstate New York, Campbell has been acknowledged by Billboard Magazine as one of the top independent musicians in the northeast. His songs are described as "uplifting, thought-provoking, and emotionally heartfelt, with a mix of humor, stories of life on the road, and personal experiences." His messages center around overcoming obstacles, anti-bullying, respect, leadership, and a positive outlook on life.
Margaretville students who attended the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) leadership conference in March had the opportunity to meet Jared, and subsequently requested that he visit MCS.
