💙🧡Thank You for Making Our Open House Special! 💙🧡

As our Open House comes to a close, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this evening such a success.

Thank you to our faculty and staff for preparing their classrooms and welcoming families, our PTSA and Athletic Booster Club for being part of the evening, and all of the community organizations who joined us and shared the many ways they support our students and families.

And, of course, thank you to all of the students, families, and community members who came out to visit, connect, and be part of our evening.

It is moments like these that remind us of the many special touches that make Margaretville Central School such a special place. We are grateful for the strong partnerships and connections that make our school community so strong.

If you were unable to attend this evening, we would still love to hear from you! Our Open House feedback survey is open to everyone—whether you attended or were unable to make it. The survey will remain open through the end of the week as we collect feedback and look for ways to improve future events.

Welcome Back, MCS! 💙

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8, is the first day of school! We are so excited to welcome our students back and begin another great school year together.

A few reminders for the morning:

🍎 Breakfast: Doors open at 7:45 a.m. for students who are having breakfast.
🚗 Parent Drop-Off: Parent drop-off is at the front of the school, across from the flag pole.
🏫 Arrival: Students should arrive and report to their first-period location before 8:10 a.m.
📋 Grades 7–12: If you are unsure where to go, adults will be stationed at both entries and throughout the building with lists of students and their first-period classes and rooms. Please don't hesitate to ask for help!
⏰ School begins: Please plan ahead so you have enough time to get settled and ready for the day.

For our returning students, welcome back! And to our new students and families, welcome to the MCS community—we are so glad you are here!

ATHLETIC NEWS!

As some of you may know a few of our Varsity teams have already started playing some games/matches!

This week Varsity golf had 2 matches, going 1-1! Landin Amundsen earned medalist honors in one match with a score of 41!

Our girls varsity soccer had their first match as well that resulted in a loss in the Mayors cup tournament. River Williams had a goal, and Gabby Sines had 5+ saves and an assist!

📢 PTSA Meeting Time Change

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your patience! 7–12 student schedules were completed and mailed today.

We know mail may take a few days to arrive. To help ensure a smooth first day, adults will be available at bus drop-off and the front entrance to direct students to first period. First-period teachers will also have copies of students’ schedules.

If you would like your student’s schedule before it arrives in the mail, please email me at jholden@margaretvillecs.org, and I will be happy to send you a copy.
