Attention Families of Students in Grades 9-12:
We are hosting our annual Hudson Valley Construction Career Expo on Thursday evening, March 26, 2026, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM at Rockland Community College in the Fieldhouse.
This event provides a great opportunity for students and parents to explore career opportunities in the construction industry and learn about training programs, benefits, salaries, and career paths that can lead to a successful future right here in the Hudson Valley.
Please note that this event is different from our Construction Career Day. Career Day which is held during the school day and requires advance school registration, and it is already full for 2026.
The Construction Career Expo, however, is an open evening event where students and families can meet contractors and trade union representatives from across the Hudson Valley to ask questions and learn about opportunities in the industry.
While advance registration is not required, it is appreciated.
I kindly ask that you share the attached flyer with your students and parents through email, school websites, newsletters, and social media.
Thank you for helping us connect young people with rewarding careers in construction.
Best regards,
Sharon Regan-Masciovecchio

Special Board of Education meeting announcement.

On Wednesday February 25th, students in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) participated in "Mock States"- a practice run for most students before their state-level competition, and the actual competition for the Culinary Arts team. Competitors were Bella Andre, Julia Balcom Salazar, Danielle Sanford & Matthew Greene, Vivian Faraci, and Everley Marks.
The event was possible thanks to collaboration with our generous community professionals in various fields, who donated their time and expertise to evaluate and provide advice and guidance to students.
Many thanks go out to Marybeth & Devin Mills of Peekamoose Restaurant in Big Indian, Patty Tripodi of Patty's Cakery in Roxbury, Joan Lawrence-Bauer of The Reporter, Christina Stickle, MCS Business teacher, and Rebecca McDermott, MCS Food Service staff.
The students will next compete at their annual State Leadership Conference on March 19th & 20th.
