📚✏️ School just got out and the incredible Math Department wasted no time getting together for professional development on their new math program! This summer, our dedicated teachers are diving into Eureka Math, a rigorous and highly-rated curriculum that builds deep mathematical understanding from Pre-K through high school. By aligning instruction across all grade levels, we’re ensuring a strong, cohesive foundation for every student—setting them up for long-term success in math and beyond. 👏 A big thank you to our educators for their commitment to continuous learning and for always putting students first. We can’t wait to see the impact of this powerful new program in the classroom! #MargaretvillePride #MathMatters #EurekaMath #ProfessionalDevelopment #LifelongLearners #BlueDevilStrong

The Margaretville Central School Seal of Biliteracy Committee is happy to announce a huge number of participants for this year's Seal presentations. The Seal of Biliteracy is awarded to seniors who show skills in English and at least one other language. We had students who completed the Seal presentations in Polish, Russian, Spanish and English. Last year we piloted the program and Yamilet Perez and Merlinda Caamano-Gonzalez completed their presentations to the committee and the evaluators in Spanish. This year we had three additional seniors complete the Spanish Seal of Biliteracy presentations, Sucely Ramirez Perez, Alex Zurita and Taide Trujillo. Sucely, Alex, Merlinda and Yamilet also completed their English presentations this year. We had two 11th grade students complete the Seal presentations in a language other than English, Will Hrazanek in Russian and Max Siciarz in Polish. We had two 10th grade students complete the Seal presentations in a language other than English, Vasilissa Hrazanek in Russian and Haydee Martinez in Spanish. We also had one 9th grade student complete the Seal presentation in a language other than English, Angel Garcia Jimenez in Spanish. The Seal Committee would like to thank Brittany Triebe (school counselor) Joy Holden (principal), Frank Hayes (Spanish), Amanda Wells (English), Kristin Vignona (English), Grace and Karl (Polish), and Natasha and Tatiana (Russian). The committee would also like to thank Michelle Osterhoudt (Superintendent) and the Board of Education for all of their support.

THANK YOU community members! Our music students were on a mission to use their skills to raise enough funds in one event so that they dont need to burden students and families next year again with other fundraising efforts, which also clears space for other activity clubs who rely on those efforts to be more successful as well. Mission accomplished! Such a wonderful evening to host arts-supporters, to thank music students, volunteers, and staff with free concert tickets, and to come together under one roof as a community. Special thanks to Garth Kravits for hosting such an entertaining evening, Cafe Marguerite for the delicious Catering, and the Herculean volunteer efforts of student, parent, and staff volunteers. Everyone wins when we shine a spotlight on these outstanding kids. More pictures to come!

Congratulations to MacKenzie Hubbell and Max Siciarz for being awarded from Section IV the Character Counts Recognition Award. This award is given to 2 students that exemplify how one deals with everyday challenges as well as extraordinary pressures and temptations.
