✨ We have something very special to celebrate at Margaretville CSD! ✨
Our very own LilliAnn VanBenschoten has been elected NYS FCCLA President! 💙
This is an incredible accomplishment and a true reflection of LilliAnn's leadership, dedication, and commitment to making a difference. We could not be more proud to see one of our students stepping into such an important role.
In addition to this exciting news, Margaretville CSD was also recognized by NYS FCCLA for our continued support of student leadership and growth. Thank you to Board of Education member Doris Warner, who accepted the award on behalf of our district.
Moments like this remind us what is possible when students are supported, encouraged, and given opportunities to lead.
Please join us in celebrating LilliAnn and this proud moment for our school community!
FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) is a national student organization that helps young people develop leadership skills, build confidence, and prepare for careers and life. Through hands-on experiences, community service, and leadership opportunities, students learn how to make a positive impact in their schools and communities.

In the meantime:
-Please check the MCS website and app regularly for updates and announcements.
-We are exploring additional ways to make sure all families receive timely information moving forward.
Thank you for your patience and continued support. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the main office.
-Joy Holden, Principal
Today our school implemented a temporary Hold in Place while we responded to a student situation that required immediate attention and support. School staff acted quickly and out of an abundance of caution, local authorities and appropriate support personnel were contacted. Afterwards classes resumed.

We are hosting our annual Hudson Valley Construction Career Expo on Thursday evening, March 26, 2026, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM at Rockland Community College in the Fieldhouse.
This event provides a great opportunity for students and parents to explore career opportunities in the construction industry and learn about training programs, benefits, salaries, and career paths that can lead to a successful future right here in the Hudson Valley.
Please note that this event is different from our Construction Career Day. Career Day which is held during the school day and requires advance school registration, and it is already full for 2026.
The Construction Career Expo, however, is an open evening event where students and families can meet contractors and trade union representatives from across the Hudson Valley to ask questions and learn about opportunities in the industry.
While advance registration is not required, it is appreciated.
I kindly ask that you share the attached flyer with your students and parents through email, school websites, newsletters, and social media.
Thank you for helping us connect young people with rewarding careers in construction.
Best regards,
Sharon Regan-Masciovecchio
