What a great showing at The Good Year Lake Polar Bear Jump today to support MCS's own Max Pascarella! Max is currently a sophomore at Margaretville Highschool where he was elected his class’s Vice-President. He is an active boy scout, sings in the chorus, and plays on the modified baseball team. Max loves baseball, politics, and people, and hopes to either play for or be the general manager of the New York Mets some day!

Mrs. Davis' Life Skills class has been learning vocational and instrumental daily living skills such as; hygiene, housekeeping, preparing meals, shopping, time management, and managing finances. These important skills will foster their independence as young adults in their post-secondary transition from MCS. Yesterday in class, students put their skills to the test and collaboratively worked together to make a very special Valentine's Day treat! We are truly proud of the student's hard work and growth this year.

We are thrilled to share that Margaretville Central School hosted a successful STEAM Showcase last night! The highlight of the event was the Custom Shoe Design and Sales Pitch Competition, where students showcased their innovative ideas by designing and creating a prototype of a sneaker. The winning designs will be brought to life! Our decision to bring a comprehensive STEM curriculum to our school has been the best decision we ever made. Our students are actively engaged in problem-solving and creating, preparing them for the world beyond the classroom. We firmly believe in exposing our students to fun, project-based learning that facilitates collaboration. Congratulations to all the students who participated. We can't wait to see what you'll accomplish next time! This was all made possible by our partnership with 21stCentEd. Thank you, Christopher Konfala Daniel Bates and Marlon Lindsay #21stcenturyskills #21stcenturyeducation #steameducation #stem
