After School Program (ASP) Guidelines & Procedures

All students must choose an activity from the list below:

Homework, studying, preparing for future assessments, research related to post secondary (e.g., career exploration, college applications), independent reading
Listening to music with earphones while working (not just hanging out)

Attendance & Location

After getting snack from the cafeteria, students will report to the designated room no later than 3:00 p.m.:
- Ms. Vignona - Room 216
- Mrs. Wells - Room 222
- Mrs. Pesa - Room 114
- Mrs. Garofolo - Room 224
- Mrs. Ritter - Room 220
Students may not leave school grounds (e.g., to go to the store) and then return. Parents will be called to pick up these students.
Students may arrive after 3:00 only if coming directly from another supervised school activity.
Students who are riding the CROP bus will be dismissed to the bus at 4:50.

Behavior & Expectations

Students may use cell phones only if they are not creating a distraction. If used in a distracting or inappropriate way, the phone must be left on the teacher’s desk.
If ASP is located in the library,
- the fishbowl and makerspace are off limits to students.
- 2 students per table.
Grades 6–8 must remain at ASP and will be escorted when leaving.
If a student does not follow ASP rules, an admin may be called. Parents may also be contacted to pick up their child. Students who chronically misbehave may be removed from the program.

Leaving ASP

Students in grades 6–8 must have permission from a parent/guardian (phone call or sign-out) to leave prior to dismissal.
Students in grades 9–12 may sign out to go home at any time.
Students leaving for sports/school events must do so when adult supervision is available (coach, chaperone, advisor etc.).
Students may leave to see a teacher once staff confirm with that teacher’s room
