Tonight, Margaretville Central School's own Hunter Balcom received his Scholar Recognition Award at a special dinner hosted at SUNY Oneonta.
The Scholar Recognition Program recognizes outstanding scholastic achievement by a member of the graduating classes of the
public, private and parochial secondary schools in the DCMO and ONC BOCES supervisory area. The program also recognizes teachers nominated by each student scholar for having a significant and beneficial influence on his/her education.
Hunter chose science teacher, Evette Garofolo as his mentor.
Hunter was accompanied by his parents, Khristen and Brian Balcom, high school counselor, Brittany Triebe, and superintendent
Michelle Osterhoudt.
We are proud of Hunter and Mrs. Garofolo!
