Kids Kingdom Reunion!
A special event for all those who helped create – and played upon -- a remarkable community play space
at MCS called Kids Kingdom will be held Sunday, May 4 at the Middletown History Center, 778 Cemetery
Rd., Margaretville from 2 to 4 p.m. The Kingdom existed from 1990 to 2001 and resembled a multi-
dimensional castle. Former students now approaching middle age (you know who you are!), are
especially welcome to share their favorite things about the playground: Rings and ladders? Tunnel
slides? Suspension bridge? Swinging horse? Did you submit a design idea for the playground? A piece of
artwork to decorate it? A video of construction of playground by dozens of community members will be
screened at the reunion. Photos, memorabilia, T-shirts, student letters and other material will be on
display. Attendees are encouraged to bring their memories and enjoy socializing over light
refreshments. Those who cannot attend are invited to send their memories to
historicalsocietyofmiddletown@gmail.com, or record them at 845-586-2400.

Arrival time will be 7:40 for the Bronx Zoo trip. Drop off in the back.
Attention Bronx Zoo Trip Families - due to traffic and congestion getting out of the park, arrival time has been moved to 7:40. More updates when we get to Kingston. Sorry for the inconvenience.

MCS Music Appreciation students visited SUNY Oneonta today to learn about the Science of Sound, Music Technology, and Electronic Instruments. Thank you to SUNY Oneonta's Anna Rutenbeck & Nathan Asman for hosting our students!

Today, Mrs. Pacheco's 2nd grade class celebrated Earth Day by cleaning up garbage around the school!
First and foremost, Thank you all for your patience with the Athletic Schedule. When mother nature does not cooperate and the season is already short it starts to get very limited on days of play.
Schedules are now posted once again. Coaches will be getting weekly updates if something changes along with updates on the APP.
Let's Go Blue Devils!
Reminder: 2025-2026 UPK & KDG Registration and Screening 4/29 & 4/30

Update regarding instrumental music and events - letter from Joy Holden, Interim Principal

Good afternoon, Margaretville families and community!
We are continuing our work and seeking input from the school community as we plan for the reclassifying of 6th grade as part of the elementary program for the 2025-2026 school year.
To gather your feedback, we're using a tool called ThoughtExchange. All of our voices matter, so your participation is crucial and valued.
You'll be asked to respond to an open-ended questions, consider and assign stars to some of the ideas shared by others (20 to 30 is ideal), and learn what's important to the group.
Your thoughts and stars are confidential. You can come back as often as you'd like to participate and, in fact, we ask that you do come back to star some of the new ideas shared since you first participated. The ratings will help us understand the most important areas to focus on.

All Athletic Schedules are currently up to date. PLEASE remember that games, matches and meets can change daily. There have been a abundance of games that have been rescheduled. Be sure to check the the coach, APP or contact Tracy Reither: treither@margaretvillecs.org if you have any questions.
